Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Her mother was her primary caregiver in the USA, where she faced numerous racial slurs that caused her to feel as an unwanted person. In the 9th grade, she started to feel more secure after being acknowledged by her teachers as a success for her performance at school's audition. This not only increased her confidence but also shifted her goals for the future. She graduated at the age of 22 with an education from the Julliard School in New York. At the age of 23 she made her debut at the Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with the role of The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the first Broadway version of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great reviews for her performance. Following that, in 2007, she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. The actress is also a renowned singer and has released an extended play. She also works as a LGBT activist.
