Zoe-perry
Perry is she is Chicago native who was birthed to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of her two appearances on Roseanne. The parents of her were not keen to let her pursue acting until she became an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry admitted that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school. She began acting to meet new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry was able to land minor TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. Homesickness, however, brought her back to California to return, where she started working on stage. She and her mother starred on Broadway together for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she starred with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played a lead role in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on the ABC drama The Family. In 2017 she had her own recurring part on The ABC political thriller Scandal starring her father. The actress was also featured on the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. The role was given to her through audition, even though she was a cousin to the character.
